The workshop went great!

I know it’s been almost a week, but it took me that long to get things organized again. The important thing, though, is that the workshop went great! One of the things I do is show multiple videos in each language section (assuming I have them).

There was a great moment in the workshop when we’d already dissected a video of a stressed out dog; a dog stuck between it’s k9 officer and a reporter, who panics and bites the reporter in the face. A few minutes later we dissected another video (it’s up on TikTok now and Facebook later today) of Flea, when I first rescued him and he was still super stressed out. People were understanding what Flea was telling me, and there were cries of, “Why don’t people know this?” and “This is what the reporter and the cop should have known!”

Why was it my favorite moment? Because no one in the room would have known an hour before.

At the end everyone swore they were going to get the word out, and even had companies they suggested I approach. In short? Everyone learned a lot, had a new respect for their dogs, and the workshop was a great success!

Jay and I will be holding another one on Sunday, July 23rd. You can find the details at Translating Dog.
