Coyote: it ended well

In my last post I told you about Coyote, the dog who wasn’t a dog. I just wanted to let you know that everything ended well for him! I know a surprising amount about coyotes and hybrids, and I’d just gone on a research bender about dog hybrids, so we were able to change expectations about what kind of (still wonderful) life Coyote would live, and help him in areas he needed it.

When I reached out a year later, he was handling having guests over and seeing strangers on walks calmly, and his owners had learned to tuck him into his safe space if there were too many visitors.

He was very much an unusual and beloved part of their family. 🙂
